Soudal Foodsafe Sealant for Coldrooms – White (Silirub 2/S)

Soudal Silirub 2/S is a high-grade oxime neutral cure silicone sealant suitable for coldrooms, cold storage, and food-related environments. This low-modulus sealant remains permanently elastic after curing and offers excellent adhesion to many common building materials, including glass, aluminium, wood, and PVC.

The sealant is UV-resistant with a permanent white finish and performs reliably across a wide temperature range, making it suitable for demanding coldroom and refrigeration applications.

• Supplied in 300ml cartridge

Applications:

• Joints in coldroom and cold storage installations
• Sealing in food preparation areas, kitchens, and sanitary applications
• All glazing works
• Air conditioning and HVAC sealing

Directions for use:

• Application method: standard caulking gun
• Application temperature: +5°C to +35°C
• Surfaces must be dry and free from grease and dust
• Clean uncured sealant with white spirit immediately after use
• Finish with soapy water before skinning
• Repairs can be carried out using Silirub 2/S

Technical notes:

• Temperature resistance: -40°C to +200°C
• Chemically neutral (pH 7)
• Contains 2-butanone oxime (may cause an allergic reaction)
• Primer may be required on some specific surfaces
• Do not use on natural stone (such as marble or granite); use Silirub MA instead
• Complies with United Kingdom standard BS 5889 Type A
