Shipping Policy – Absolute Coldroom Ltd

At Absolute Coldroom Ltd, we aim to dispatch all stocked items as quickly as possible to minimise downtime for your business. Most products are held in stock and are dispatched the same working day when ordered before 3:00 pm.


UK Delivery Services

We use a combination of trusted national couriers to provide fast and reliable UK delivery.

DPD & DX (Main Couriers)

  • Most orders are shipped via DPD or DX

  • Typical delivery time: Next working day

  • Fully tracked service

  • Delivery notifications and options available via the courier’s app or website

Royal Mail – Highlands, Islands & Remote Areas

  • Smaller items and remote or Scottish Highland addresses may be shipped via Royal Mail

  • Typical delivery time: 2–3 working days, depending on location


Pallet Deliveries (Large or Heavy Items)

Larger or heavier products (for example monoblock units, shelving, long rails, or bulk PVC orders) are shipped on pallets.

  • Pallet deliveries are handled via The Pallet Network (LPC – Leeds)

  • Delivery is kerbside only

  • Drivers are not able to move goods inside buildings

  • Please ensure clear access for an 18-tonne vehicle, unless otherwise arranged

  • Someone must be on site to receive and sign for the delivery

  • Residential deliveries may be delayed if access or attendance is not available

If you have any access restrictions (such as narrow lanes, steep gradients, or limited parking), please inform us in advance.


Dispatch Times

  • Orders placed before 3:00 pm are usually dispatched the same working day

  • Orders placed after 3:00 pm are dispatched the next working day

  • Orders placed at weekends are dispatched on Monday

  • Bespoke, cut-to-size, or special-order items may require additional lead time (we will advise if this applies)

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email confirmation and tracking details where available.


Missed or Failed Deliveries

If a delivery attempt is made and no one is available:

  • DPD / DX will normally leave a card and attempt redelivery or offer collection options

  • Royal Mail may hold the parcel at your local delivery office

  • Pallet deliveries will require re-booking and may incur additional charges

Please contact us if you require assistance rearranging delivery.


Damaged or Missing Items

Please inspect all goods upon delivery.

  • Any damaged items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery

  • For pallet deliveries, any visible damage must be clearly noted on the driver’s paperwork before signing

  • We will arrange replacements as quickly as possible where appropriate
